Overview
A beautiful hike that crosses the gorgeous Begnas lake (Which is a little bit smaller than Phewa Lake). After arriving at Begnas Lake, you will have 30 minutes to boat across the Begnas and across the other side. Then hike for around 2 hours to the Begnaskot, which is located at an altitude of about 1,100 meters above sea level. The amazing view of Begnas and Rupa lakes, the beautiful Annapurna-Dhaulagiri Himalayan ranges, the forest region that covers the entire hill, and lovely traditional Nepali villages can all be seen from the top. You will also come across many Nepali farmers and fishermen whose livelihoods are based on agriculture and fishing.
Thus, Begnaskot is to the northeast ridge of Begnas Lake overlooking the Himalayas, Pokhara valley and many green hills . The hike is a real insight into Nepalese mountain culture and lifestyle. Village along Sundari danda is trying to make a living agricultural tourism.
